We Can Make a Difference

In 1996, Dog Days of Wisconsin initiated the "We Can Make a Difference" program. During camp, campers are able to participate in special activities and raise funds for dog-related, non-profit organizations. Each year, the camp raises more than $2000.

One special activity planned for this year is the "Digging for Buried Treasures" . For a $2 donation, your dog will be able to scamper around, sniff and dig in a the sand to find the special treat.

Another activity planned is the Ball Pit. For a $2 donation, your dog will be able to "sniff" for wonderful treasures!

And, back by popular demand is the silent auction. Bid on items while at camp that have been donated by our sponsors. Items include dinners, dog toys, supplies, etc. The items will be on display along with the "bid sheet." Seeing the "bid sheet" will give you the opportunity to outbid the previous bidder.

Before the end of camp, all campers will submit an organization related to dogs that could benefit from the raised funds. All the submissions are put into a hat and three are drawn. Remember, the primary requirements are that the organization be dog-related and non-profit.

In the past, shelters, rescue organizations and even a community foundation sponsoring a dog fence at a park were the recipients of the donations.

"We Can Make a Difference" is a great opportunity to have fun and lend a helping hand and paw at the same time!
